High feed head for high-performance roughing with high parameters     

 

                               

 

 

  • Up to 10 times higher feed rates can be used than in the case of a standard APKT insert head.
  • Made of 42CrMo 40-42HRC material for inserts with 4 cutting edges LNMU0303ZER, including: for roughing (under special technological conditions - so-called plunge milling) and material removal with high feed rates.
  • This tool is the #1 choice for milling very deep pockets.
  • The design of this tool means that the force during milling is directed mainly towards the spindle, thanks to which we eliminate problems with vibration of tools mounted on very long shanks/holders with low stiffness.
  • Dry milling without the use of cooling liquid is recommended.

Example parameters for a 63mm head:

  • S=1000 obr/min
  • F=6000 mm/min
  • Ap=0.8 mm
  • Ae=50 mm
  • Cooling: dry machining or compressed air
