Replaceable spade drill tip

Product

Replaceable cutting tip for a modular spade drill. The tip is the cutting part of the drill and attaches to a compatible body through the two holes shown in the photograph.

Choose the exact diameter

Select the exact diameter and material code, then choose the tip colour: black or brown. After both selections, the page shows the code, price per tip and stock of that variant. Only sizes shown in the selector can be selected. An out-of-stock variant cannot be ordered.

The price is for one tip in the selected size, material and colour. The drill body is not included.

Work materials

This tip family is presented for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron and tool steel. Choose the specific material version to suit the workpiece and drill body.

Cutting geometry

Grooves in the cutting edge split chips and help remove them. The tip geometry helps reduce cutting resistance and drilling torque. Results also depend on the workpiece, drill body and cutting settings.

Mounting the tip

Before fitting the tip, check its diameter and mounting pattern against the drill body. The tip and drill body are separate parts of the modular system.

Reading a variant

For example, “Ø30 mm – M42 cobalt high-speed steel” and “brown” means one brown 30 mm M42 tip. The size card also shows thickness and point angle. Photographs show example sizes and finishes; the selected size, material and colour identify what is ordered.
