Opis

End Mill, Finishing Head, Finishing Face, SmoothCut XT

– an improved alternative to the fly cutter for machining aluminum and large precision sheet metal.

The SmoothCut XT finishing milling head is an improved alternative to traditional fly cutter tools, intended for machining large aluminum elements, e.g. large sheet metal. This is a tool dedicated to applications where high cutting width and excellent surface quality are crucial.

Compared to classic fly cutter heads, the SmoothCut XT head provides much higher efficiency and better finish quality. Traditional fly cutters use a single cutting blade, which limits their efficiency, especially when machining larger sizes and surfaces.

The use of PCD (diamond) inserts in the head allows for material processing up to 30 times longer without the need to replace the inserts compared to solid carbide and much higher efficiency thanks to the possibility of using a cutting speed (Vc) of 2-3 thousand m/min.

Key advantages of the Kortools head compared to a fly cutter:

Increased productivity by using multiple cutting inserts instead of one blade.

Better surface quality – eliminates burrs and ensures perfect flatness.

Greater durability – PCD inserts last longer than carbide inserts.

Optimal results when processing large dimensions.
