Product description
Rotary burrs with cemented carbide cutting heads for deburring, edge finishing, and shaping surfaces and grooves. Different head shapes help match the tool to the geometry of the work area.
The range includes single-cut and double-cut tools. AEX identifies a version with end cutting edges. The cut type and shape are stated in the selected variant name; available combinations depend on the size.
Choose from standard burrs with a 6 mm shank, small burrs with a 3 mm shank and a 6 mm cutting head, and extended tools with an overall length of 150 mm. Sets of 5, 6 or 10 tools are also available. The quantity and set contents depend on the selected variant.
Applications
Deburring castings, forgings and welds, edge finishing, and work on moulds, machine parts and difficult-to-reach surfaces. For use on metals including cast iron, stainless steel, copper and aluminium, as well as selected non-metallic materials. Match the tool, cut type and operating conditions to the workpiece material.
Choosing a variant and reading dimensions
| Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|
| D | cutting diameter. |
| l | cutting length. |
| d | shank diameter. |
| L | overall length. |
The cards show dimensions confirmed for each specific variant. Overall length is not specified for every burr. Four-digit numbers and TZ codes are catalogue references and help identify the correct tool when ordering again.
Secure the burr in a holder suitable for its shank diameter and use a steady feed. Match rotational speed to the diameter, material and tool overhang; extended tools require a separate choice of operating conditions. Avoid excessive pressure. Wear eye protection and follow the machine instructions.
